Theses are valuable sources of information, especially for topics where there are fewer published works available. The reference list in a thesis can be useful to find further published sources on a topic.

AUSTRALIAN THESES

Use TROVE to search for Australian theses

• Select Trove Advanced Search and choose ‘Research and Reports’
• Type your keywords into the first box
• Refine your results by Format, selecting ‘Thesis’

INTERNATIONAL THESES

• OPEN ACCESS THESES AND DISSERTATIONS (OATD) Database of open access theses and dissertations published around the world.
• Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature, including theses.
